Kerry Anderson Kay
Kerry Anderson Kay is the Clinical Lead for Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) Rehabilitation at Clinical Excellence Queensland, where she provides statewide clinical leadership for a system-wide initiative to improve the quality, equity and consistency of ABI rehabilitation across Queensland.
A neurological Occupational Therapist with over 20 years’ experience across Australia and the United Kingdom, Kerry has worked across the stroke and ABI continuum, from hyperacute care through to rehabilitation and community integration.
Kerry currently leads the design and implementation of evidence-based rehabilitation standards, workforce capability frameworks and ABI clinical resources, with a strong focus on co-design, translation into practice and sustainable system change. She has led major stroke and ABI service redesign initiatives and is recognised for her ability to bring together clinicians, consumers and health services to drive meaningful improvement.
Her current research based out of the Princess Alexandra Hospital (Brisbane) explores co-designing stroke education with survivors, support people and clinicians to embed personalised, process-focused learning across the care continuum and strengthening survivor–clinician partnerships.
Kerry is Co-Chair of the Queensland ABI Special Interest Group and Chair of the National Allied Health Disorders of Consciousness Community of Practice.
