Tu Q Nguyen
Tu is an epidemiologist with 7+ years’ experience in academic research, hospital, non-profit and government settings. Tu is currently a PhD researcher at the Department of Paediatrics, University of Melbourne and Murdoch Research Children’s Institute. Her research investigates precipitating factors for cardiovascular disease, with a specific focus on examining respiratory virus infection triggers for acute myocardial infarction and stroke. Prior to beginning her candidature, she was a Senior Epidemiologist in the COVID-19 response at the Victorian Department of Health. This sparked her interest in bringing together infectious disease epidemiology, big data and Australia’s “biggest killers”.
